ABOUT LOUISE
About Louise.
Louise specialises in treating dogs with a range of issues including arthritis, soft tissue injuries, post surgery care, performance issues, hip / elbow dysplasia, CCL , luxating patellas and other orthopedic condition support.
Louise has always had a passion for dogs. At the present time she has four beautiful dogs in her family. It was however her labradoodle Sandi that inspired her to look into Clinical canine massage. Sandi suffered from a variety of conditions in her short life and Louise wanted to look for alternative ways other than drugs to help her. As an active sports woman playing both tennis and rugby, Louise understands the benefits that massage has on the body and this was the start of her journey in canine massage.
Louise studied for two years with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre. This intense two years of training comprised of an in depth learning and understanding in canine anatomy and physiology. It included over 1200 hours of learning and practical skills in Swedish, Sports and Deep tissue massage, Myofascial release and the unique Lenton method. She is also a member and the Chairperson of the Canine Massage Guild. In her spare time Louise volunteers for StreetVet helping to provide care to the dogs living on our streets with owners that are experiencing homelessness. She believes in making sure her skills are constantly up to date by attending regular CPD courses. She also volunteers in her spare time for StreetVet. Louise also has a BSc Honours degree in Sports Physiology and Biology, IMDT K9 First Aid and is training as a Reiki practitioner.
Louise covers the Home Counties and can treat your dog either in their own home or at her clinic in Caddington. Louise will only work under veterinary consent which complies to the Veterinary Act 1966 and Veterinary Exemptions Order 2015. Louise adheres to Best Practice and will not treat a dog that has not been given consent by their vet. This is a simple process which just requires you to print off the consent form found on this site and take it in to your vet to sign.
Canine massage therapy is an amazing treatment that your dog can really feel. Rather than buying them that new collar or toy, treat them to something they will really benefit from and give them the spring back in their step.
